Klaipėda construction-installation board, with the main aim of electrifying agricultural objects, has been established in accordance with the Energy Construction Trust Law in 1962. The established company has been constantly changing its names and was called the Specialized Movable Mechanized Column of Klaipėda, the Mechanized Column of Klaipėda, and Klaipėda State Energy Construction Company. After the restoration of Lithuanian independence, in 1993, Klaipėda State Energy Construction Company has been privatized and reorganized into a joint-stock company “Klaipėdos energetika”: it has higher targets, its activity is constantly expanding and includes not only agricultural objects, but also electrification of all industries.

The central base of the company is currently located in the city of Klaipėda, at Liepų str. 66, and its subdivisions are in Tauragė, Plungė and Šilutė district.

There are more than 150 employees working in the company, who constantly upgrade their skills by participating in various trainings, seminars, and conferences.

Joint-stock company “Klaipėdos energetika” has a responsible approach to its performed activities:

• In 1994, member of the Klaipėda Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts;
• In 1996, full member of the Lithuanian Electricity Association;
• In 2004, member of the Klaipėda Industrialists Association;
